Technology is slowly taking over....
Example :
When I was still young, I visit my dad at work. He works in a liquor company. There, I always have the opportunity to see the production.
Some workers are in charge of checking defects, cleaning the bottles, packing and labeling.I think filling and sealing the bottles is done by a mechanical machine. The whole place is crowded and noisy. Production time is a bit slower. Output is small. Production cost is surely high because you have to pay each worker.
But now, because of technology checking, cleaning, filling, sealing and packing is done only by a PLC controlled machine. Output is big. The production time is faster and cheaper because most of the workers are GONE.
Technology as a solution to make production fast and efficient is good news for the company but this is BAD news for the workers.
It looks like technology is slowly removing the humans in the work force.
