How google earns money

Google earns money from ad clicks. When you click on a sponsored link, it means instant money for them. It is called Google AdWords.

How does it work?

For example I have company that sells used cars. I go to Adword's site and create my Ad. When a user search something related to "used cars". Google displays my Ad. The link often have a yellow background or is located on the right side of the search result page.

If the user clicks on the Ad. I pay google.



Also, they have a program called Google Adsense. In Adsense, Google puts some of their advertisements in your own personal website. If a user clicks on that ad, Google pays you a share of what they will earn.
